Some Easy Ways To Use Black Garlic…

  • On a cheese board, like quince paste. Especially with cured meats and pickled things
  • Mixed with butter and spread on olive-bread toast
  • On a pizza, eg. with bocconcini, prosciutto, tomato, fresh basil, olive oil (add basil and oil after cooking)
  • In a dressing for salad or fish
  • In a marinade or baste for any meat eg. ginger and soy for pork
  • On garlic bread, with fresh garlic too!
  • Tossed through roast potatoes
  • Tossed through sautéed mushrooms with thyme and pepper
  • Combine with butter, blue cheese and black truffle on a steak
  • Use in a red wine reduction with pan/resting juices from steak or lamb
  • On a canape with smoked salmon and cream cheese
  • Combine with mayonnaise or natural yoghurt for an instant sauce/dip
  • Use instead of tamarind
  • Blend into stock for added richness and depth of flavour eg. soups, curries, slow cooks, gravy, risotto
